How do you use the Rug Doctor Spot Cleaner?

The Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner is powerful at cleaning but simple to set up. Learn how to use a spot cleaner at home in these easy steps:

• Remove the water tank and fill it up until the level reaches the 'clean water' indicator.
• Fill the tank with the spot cleaner solution until it reaches the 'spot cleaner' indicator.
• Replace the tank cap and insert the clean water tank into the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner machine.
• Plug the power cord into a socket and unwrap the flexible cleaning hose from the bottom of the machine.
• Turn on the machine and start cleaning.
• Squeeze the spray button on the handle to cover the dirty area with the solution.

When cleaning, ensure you don't overwet the area. Once you've done this, you can empty the dirty water tank into a sink or toilet.

Can you use a spot cleaner on other furniture, like a mattress?

Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner removes tough stains and spills from mattresses with our Upholstery Cleaner. It can be used on most mattress types, except memory foam, standard foam, or goose-down mattresses.

We recommend setting the mattress upright and cleaning one side at a time. Remember to allow plenty of drying time before cleaning the other side.
